Melissa Errico

Melissa Errico burst upon the Broadway scene as Cosette in Les Miserables, quickly followed by a star-turn as Kitty in Anna Karenina, and then, at age 22, to raves as Eliza Doolittle in the Broadway revival of My Fair Lady. Since then, she has starred in High Society, AmourDracula, and White Christmas on Broadway, and acclaimed off-Broadway productions of Major Barbara, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Candida (which earned her a 2010 Best Actress Drama Desk Nomination) and Dear Liar in 2023; as well as in television and film, including CBS's Central Park West, Blue Bloods, The Knick, Billions, and much more; and movies such as Frequency and Life Or Something Like It, opposite Angelina Jolie.

Melissa has appeared in Washington DC several times at The Kennedy Center where she starred as Dot/Marie in the acclaimed Sondheim Celebration's Sunday in the Park with George, and as a soloist at the televised Kennedy Center Honors and twice with The National Symphony for "Salute To The Silver Screen with Marvin Hamlisch", as well as a brilliant Jerry Herman Tribute which toured to London. She has solidified her reputation as a great interpreter of the classic musicals, as she turned a small New York production of Finian's Rainbow into a runaway hit, being called "the voice of enchantment" (NY Times), and starring in quick succession in My Fair Lady, Camelot, and The Sound of Music at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, conducted by John Mauceri, to sold-out audiences of 20,000 people per night, followed by Brigadoon in concert on Broadway, and On A Clear Day You Can See Forever which she chronicled for the NY TIMES. Jeremy Irons and Melissa reprised their LA Camelot on Broadway and at Town Hall.

Oscar-winner Michel Legrand was a key to Melissa’s musical artistry and her musical idol. Her third solo album, Legrand Affair Deluxe Edition (Warner Music) is a thrilling and romantic symphonic album arranged and conducted by Legrand, recorded in Brussels, and produced by the legendary Phil Ramone. Melissa performed with Legrand at such jazz clubs as Vibrato in Los Angeles, and New York City's Oak Room at the Algonquin, Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Joe's Pub. Melissa enjoys working fluidly between intimate jazz venues, and concert halls, and has an annual 10-show solo residency at Birdland Jazz Club in NYC, opened for George Benson at the Montreal Jazz Festival and works with the Ronnie Scott’s Band in London.

Ms. Errico made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2022 with the NY Pops conducted by Steven Reineke. She has performed with The National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Marvin Hamlisch, the New World Symphony conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas, the Pasedena Pops conducted by Michael Feinstein and Larry Blank, and the Cleveland Orchestra at the Blossom Festival, and appeared as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher, Wolf Trap, City Center, The Allen Room, Town Hall, Disney Concert Hall, Ravinia, Caramoor & more.  Her symphonic engagements also include San Diego Symphony, New Jersey Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Pittsburgh Symphony, Utah Symphony, Harrisburg Symphony, Evansville Philharmonic, Youngstown Symphony, Shippensburg Symphony, Florida Sunshine Pops (with Richard Hayman), Alabama Symphony, Pueblo Symphony, Chesapeake Bay Orchestra, and Gulf Coast Symphony.  Her acclaimed London concert debut was with the Royal Philharmonic at the Palladium opposite Angela Lansbury, stepping in for an ailing Barbara Cook. She returned to London as the only American star in the orchestral Michel Legrand memorials at Royal Festival Hall.

Recently, Melissa was paid a high musical honor in France by being the sole English-speaking artist invited to tribute Michel Legrand with the Paris/Nice Jazz Orchestra at The Grand Rex conducted by Pierre Bertrand, with Sylvain Luc and Birelli Legrene. In 2024, she returns to London’s Royal Albert Hall as the opening act for George Benson as part of his sold out UK tour. She has three daughters and is married to tennis star and journalist Patrick McEnroe.
