Aaron Lazar

        

 



Mr. Lazar garnered critical acclaim for his performance as 'Enjolras', the leader of the student revolutionaries, in the 2006 Broadway revival of Les Miserables, earning a 2007 Drama Desk Award Nomination for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical.  Other Broadway/West End credits include: ‘Fabrizio Nacarelli’ in Lincoln Center's Tony Award winning production of The Light in the Piazza, a role he also played on PBS' Live from Lincoln Center broadcast; the Broadway revival of Oklahoma!; The Phantom of the Opera; the Broadway national tour of The Scarlet Pimpernel;  and 'Gabey' in the historic 2005 production of On The Town at the English National Opera.  Currently, Mr. Lazar is starring in the new Broadway musical of Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities as 'Charles Darnay'.

 

Symphonic and concert appearances include: guest soloist with Marvin Hamlisch and The National Symphony Orchestra; ‘Billy Bigelow’ in Carousel in concert with Keith Lockhart & The Boston Pops; guest soloist with The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall; the role of ‘Adam/Silva’ in a televised concert of the Broadway-bound musical Imagine This at the base of Masada in Israel; and ‘Lt. Cable’ in South Pacific with Reba McEntire and Brian Stokes Mitchell at The Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles.
